OPENING: Abundance - Cultivating Conversation Through Food & Art

An opening reception for an exhibition exploring conversation through food and art. The event runs from 6 to 8 pm and is free to attend. The exhibition runs September 3 – November 5. Abundance celebrates nourishment in its many forms: food, labor, community, creativity, and the natural systems that sustain us. Moving beyond simple excess, the exhibition proposes a definition rooted in stewardship, connection, and interdependence. Food becomes a lens through which to examine the unseen forces that shape our lives. Mia Brownell reimagines the still life through the language of science, revealing the biological and cultural systems behind what we eat, while Wende Caporale-Greene honors the farmers, bakers, and food artisans whose work nourishes both body and community.
