Made by locals, for locals
Our goal
To give you a clean, honest place for local events, activities, and restaurants, all in a single spot. No endless feed designed to keep you scrolling, and no addictive algorithm deciding what you see.
Get in, find something that you’d really like to do, share with friends and family, and get on with your day.
We’re a local family from Norwalk who wanted exactly that: a simpler way to stay involved in our community and make the most of where we live. If it helps you spend less time searching and more time actually out in the neighborhood, it’s doing its job.
Why a seagull?
Our beaches sit on the Sound, and the seagull is the bird you see over the harbor, along the beaches, or on a lamppost eyeing your sandwich. We didn’t go hunting for a mascot so much as pick our ever-present neighbor.
The name came from the same place. Shenanigans is the good, faintly silly business of a life outside work: trivia on a Tuesday, a pottery class you turn out to be no good at, an oyster festival in the rain. It’s also, precisely, what the seagulls get up to on our beaches all summer — turning up wherever something is happening, entirely certain they were invited.
That seemed about right for a site whose whole job is knowing where the fun is.
One simple place for what’s happening near you. That’s the whole idea.
How to use the site Free to browse, free to post.
Browsing all events and activities is always free. And so is posting events, classes, and menu specials (our Basic plan for organizations is free).
Neighbors
Plan your week and save events and activities to your calendar. You can also create, send, and manage private invitations for your own events.
Organizations and businesses
Start posting for free. Our Smart Draft will even write the listing for you. If you have too much going on and little time to post, our plans add Smart Scans, which read your own website and turn your events, classes and specials into posts here, automatically! You can also sell tickets here and save with lower fees. See the plans.
Organization accounts always have metrics to help gauge the engagement with neighbors.
